Chalk Vs. Chalk Markers

We typically use to types of mediums: anti-dust chalk or chalk markers. For weddings and all events we stick to chalk markers to avoid any swiping or smudging during pickup and moving the day of. Our regular, anti-dust chalk comes in handy for smaller pieces such as table numbers.

Our business clients have the option of regular chalk or chalk markers for their requests. If it is a larger piece that will be changed frequently or seasonally, we recommend regular chalk. For large pieces such as menus that will remain the same for quite some time, we recommend chalk markers.


Turnaround Time

All orders must be placed at least six weeks (42 days) before the date of a client's event. During these six weeks we are creating preliminary sketches, receiving approval of sketches, determining pickup & drop off time, and creating the final chalkboard(s). Please see "How It Works" page for more details about our process. 


Rented Vs. Purchased

Clients have the option of renting or purchasing the chalkboard(s) he/she orders. Rented chalkboards must be returned within one week (7 days) of the client's event. This clock begins the day after his/her event. Purchased chalkboards are for the client to keep. There is no return required.

Easel Rentals

A $40 rental deposit will be collected for easel rentals. The rental deposit will be refunded once the easel has been returned. If the easel(s) is/are not returned, lost or damaged the $40 rental deposit will be kept to replace the easel(s).

Provided Chalkboards

We can hand letter and create designs on almost any surface. If you already have a chalkboard that you'd like us to use, or other surface, let us know! For more information about pricing, please email us.


Pickup & Drop Off

Pickup

All orders must be picked up from our office location in Nutley, NJ. The pickup date/time will be determined two weeks (14 days) before the date of his/her event. If renting, the pickup date will be set on the closest date of your event as possible (within the week of), without causing an inconvenience to you. For example, if the client's wedding takes place on a Saturday and the rehearsal dinner is on Friday, the client can pickup the rented order anytime between Monday-Thursday. If purchasing, the date of pickup does not have to be as close to the event date as possible. However, please be aware of our turnaround time (see above). 

Drop Off

The client has one week (7 days), starting the day after his/her event, to drop off the rented chalkboard(s). This date and time is determined between our team and the client during pickup. 

Shipping

Your chalkboard order can be shipped to you under certain circumstances. If you are an out of state client please let us know and we would be more than happy to accommodate to the occasion. 


Payment & Deposits

Upon signing of our client agreement, a 50% deposit is required for all orders of $150 or more. All order balances must be completed either before or the day of your pickup. We accept cash (including Venmo), check, or credit using PayPal or PayPal here.  


CANCELlATION POLICY

In the event that you need to cancel our services, the 50% deposit will not be refunded. The cancellation must be made at least 30 days before the scheduled event date. Failure to do so will result in an automatic charge of the full payment.

REFUND POLICY

We take great pride in our reputation and the quality of our products. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your custom creation, we will assist you with an exchange free of charge or refund within 2 weeks of pickup.
